They are all conservation board and acid free – they are also grade A top quality exhibtion standard. You dont have to take our word for it though – Photographer and valued customer John Boyd recently won an award from the Royal Photographic Society – “the award in no small part was down to the quality and style of the mounts – and the RPS mentioned the quality” – thanks John and well done.
If you want to take advantage of the last few remaining days of our Sale – then please go to our Picture Frames – Photo Mounts Shop – all products have the discount applied when you check out.
We also forgot to mention we now offer a canvas stretching and fitting service. So if you are in the market for some stretcher bars – get in touch.
We have had our website up and running for a while now. Each week we are busy adding more details, more products, more options. We have exhibited at the FOCUS show in Birmingham – the largest of its kind in Europe.
But what we really want to know is …………..
what do you think of it , is there something you would really want to see us make? , is the site easy to use and to check out, or does it confuse you to the point of logging off and having a beer instead.
We are continually striving to improve, to make things easier for you. So please let us know what you think of our Picture Frames, of our Photo Mounts, of our Reportage Overlays. Do you like our Canvas Stretching service or Stretcher Bars.
Just a very quick post to let everyone know that when you a buy a picture frame from us, there is an option to also order a mount to go with it. You can pick from our usual range of mounts – single, double, extra thick , pinstripe etc.
We will also fit it for you as well, so that when your picture frame arrives – all you have to do if fit your artwork.
We are always continually looking for areas where we can offer our customers exactly what they want. Although we have been in this business a long time, we are also aware that we are not mind readers. So here is a challenge – let us know what service or product you would like us to provide – and we’ll look into it.
For example – last week we had a call from a wedding photographer who wanted a particular design for his Reportage Overlays , not a problem – he emailed us the design and it was available on our website within 15 minutes for him to order. Not only for him – but for anyone to order as well.
So come – put your wishful thinking caps on – and talk to us.
Whether you are a professional or keen amateur you may not realise this but mounts are equally as important as picture frames when it comes to focusing and enhancing your artwork. A mount will also serve to protect your work – and if you have some non reflective glass – even better.
For frames – it is important to choose the correct frame for your artwork that you are going to display in your office, home, exhibition or club. A frame needs to fit the artwork without gaps so the artwork will not move once it is the frame. To make sure your work isn’t going to move and isn’t going to come into contact with the glass in the frame, you need to make sure you have the right mount.
A picture mount can be ready made or made to your specific dimensions. They will always be available in a range of colours and thicknesses. You can also go one step ahead of the competition and go for a ‘pinstripe’ or ‘ribbon’ mount – these specialised mounts will actually enhance your work to a level that you will not believe. A pinstripe mount has a double reverse bevel about an inch away from your artwork. Why not take a look at this mount
We can produce any design mount you want, if you have an idea or want some custom made mounts of your own – then please get in touch to discuss it more.
The world cup is over for England, we can still hear the drone of some distant vuvuzelas. So to take everyones mind off them for a moment or two – we decided to have a sale.
Cadremont Summer Sale – a massive 20% off everything (yes 20%) .
Use the shop as normal – except this time – when you go to checkout – we take off 20% of the cost of your order. The discount doesnt apply to shipping unfortunatley. We would love to tell FedEx to reduce their costs by 20% – but they wont. The good news is that the Sale discount applies to all our products – frames, mounts, multi apertures, reportage, wedding signature frames, everything.
As we have been rather busy over the last couple of months. We have to admit to not updating our blog as often as we should have.
We thought that rather than us tell you about what we have been doing – we would ask some of our customers tell you instead. Here are a couple of emails we have in over the last few weeks, we’ll add more as and when we can
We put this email at the top as we are pleased to announce that one of our customers has just acquired a Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society – well done John , you deserve it.
“Hi Paul……..just in case your a bit stuck and thinking ‘who the ‘eck is this’……well I’m the bloke from Leeds who talked football with you at Focus Exhibition.
In the meantime you cut me ten mounts which I used to feature my panel of prints last week at the Royal Photographic Society in Bath.
The judges were suitably impressed and gave me a Licentiateship. They even mentioned the quality of the appearance of the work.
Presentation is a key part of any submission so your mounts played an important part in my success, thanks very much for that and good luck next season when I expect to see the Bluebirds flying into Elland Road.
Cheers for now
John Boyd ”

We have recently returned from the Focus Imaging Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
Some information about Focus :-
Over 18,000 sq.m of imaging in two halls makes FOCUS the largest imaging event ever staged in the UK and the largest annual event of its kind in Europe. FOCUS is the most diverse and comprehensive imaging show ever staged in the UK, making it the most useful, informative and inspirational to all image makers.
We were on stand D67 – if you came to see us, then we’d just like to say – thank you. If you didn’t get our brochure – then you can download it from our shop.
It was 5:30am when we set off. It was cold, it was dark – a step into another world. Who was it that once said – the first step is the hardest?
The previous 6 weeks had seen us all, updating our website, creating a new brochure and making our price list easier to understand.
For Phill – the photographer we had to take photos of some new finished products. Credit here must also go to Simon Reagan, a product and fine art photographer who helped us.
The previous night Paul and Aaron had been working in the factory putting the final touches all the picture frames and photo mounts. We had a few hours sleep and then it was show time.
As per, getting to the N.E.C in Birmingham was easy, finding the right way to the car park, getting a space and finding where we could unload was the difficult part.
The van is parked – the sun is shining we have 2hours 30 minutes to setup – All hands to the pump, and any spare ones to the coffee machine.
Paul and Aaron get the display up and ready with 10 minutes to go before the public are allowed into the auditorium.
For the next 10 hours we talk and talk and talk to everyone from Camera Clubs, Societies, Wedding Photographers, Amateur Photographers, Portrait Photographers, Landscape Photographers, Wildlife Photographers, even Police Forensic Photographers. We speak to wholesalers, retailers, publishers and fine art exhibitors. Wow is all I can say – the response is 100% positive, everyone is fascinated by the work, people want to know more, could we make this product, could we change the way we sell that product. Everyone’s needs are different but everyone’s attitude is the same – POSITIVE.
That makes all the previous 6 weeks hard work worth it. End of Day1 – we all have sore feet, aching legs. Debrief back at the Premier Inn in Halesowen , we then manage to find a pub that sells Real Ale – as well as offering free curry and rice.
More to follow…..
This is the blog / news site of Cadremont – we make high quality, exhibition standard Picture Frames and Mounts.
We manufacture all our products in house thus guaranteeing a very high standard level of workmanship.
One of the main puprposes of this blog / news page is to connect with the many Photographers, Camera Clubs, Artists and Fine Art societies out there both in the UK and abroad. There will be much more to follow but for now please take a look at the video we did for the Focus Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
