Privacy / GDPR etc

This is something that ALL companies & websites must now provide to you automatically. If they dont - please ask them to provide the information.

GDPR is the new EU ruling that everyone needs to adhere to - even us in the UK. Further down the line there is the new UK Data Protection Bill coming in - which will go further than GDPR does.  We dont actually do anything with data. You make an order, we need an email and a delivery address to send the goods to and an email to send an invoice to - and that's about it.  PayPal process online payments - we dont see any of the card data, we just get an acknowledgement saying payment process or not.

1. WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

Cadremont will be what’s known as the “Controller” of the personal data you provide to us.
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also see an internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system and whether you are on a mobile device - so we adjust the website appearance automtically

You have to OPT IN for us to send you any emails re offers etc

2. CONSENT

When you provide us with personal information to create an account, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, on your account page by using our contact us form or by contacting us at [email protected]

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Consolidating orders to reduce delivery charge.  On occasion, you may find that you need to add to your order after it has been placed. In these circumstances, we ask that you submit another order online. If this is done on the SAME DAY as the original order we will be able to consolidate the two, thereby reducing the overall delivery charge. Where orders are placed on different days it is not always possible to offer this consolidation service due to the high level of administrative work required.
