Description

Extra Thick mounts are 2.6mm thick and limited to two colours but we do offer them in a variety of frame sizes and apertures. Acid FREE, Conservation Level mounts. These really give extra depth to your Artwork.

Please note - the apertures listed are cut ¼ inch under size. This is so the mount will fit over your artwork. For example if you have a 6x4 photo, the actual aperture size will be 5¾ x 3¾ .

If you want the aperture cut exactly to your sizes please specify in the 'Bespoke internal size if applicable' box and we will cut them exactly as you have specified

Please note - Mounts come in packs of 10, so a quantity of 1=10 mounts, 2=20 mounts etc Example price pack of 10 mounts sized 6x4 would be £9.57 (subject to change)

After watching a YouTube video on photo printing and framing, I decided to try using frames without the acrylic 'glass'. The thin mounts that come with my preferred skinny metal frames warp a little wihtout the acrylic (understandably). So, I tried Cadremount's extra think mounts - with success! Very pleased with the results.
I have also used anti-glare acrylic which is also much better than the original acrylic.

Just a brief note to say - thanks and thanks for the advice re the bags as well. My prints look great (i my opinion..) but seeing as I recently sold out, customer must be agreeing to. Love the fact I can order and re order based on knowing what previously Ive sold before.

Just wanted to pass on my thanks to you all. The extra thick mounts arrived yesterday - they look blooming lovely. We have been adding our prints and bagging them up all day - and I know they will fly off the shelves. We have 4 weeks worth of shows now lined up and over 700 prints ready to shift. That should hopefully last us , if not I maybe calling to get some more delivered just in case.

What are Extra Thick Picture Mounts

When do use extra thick mounts

It's down to the individual basically. We see extra thick mounts being used when people really want to make their artwork stand out and almost become separated between itself and the frame.
Some times people use a large mount dimension around small artwork

What is the difference between single - double and extra thick mounts?

A single mount is 1 layer of mountboard (conservation level) which has single or multiple apertures cut to size. Double Mounts are 2 sheets of mountboard, usually colour coordinated to highlight colours used in the artwork. Extra Thick Mounts are single layer mounts, one colour but with an extra thick depth. The choice is yours.
